UC Noyce Initiative RFP for Cyber / AI Applications

The UC Noyce Initiative Cyber / AI request for proposals (RFP) is now open and accepting applications from UC researchers and faculty across participating UC campuses: Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, San Francisco, Santa Barbara.

Overview

• Focus: Cybersecurity / AI

• AI-Driven Cybersecurity at Scale and Speed
• Privacy for AI Systems
• Securing the AI/ML Pipeline for Societal-Scale Systems

• Who’s eligible: Principal Investigator (PI) status at one of the UC Noyce Initiative UC campuses – Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, San Francisco, Santa Barbara. Multi-campus teams required, inclusion of at least three UC Noyce Initiative campuses.
• Funding level: Up to $400,000 for collaborations involving three participating campuses; $600,000 for collaborations involving four or five participating campuses
• Project period: One Year
• Key dates:
  • Funding Announcement: September 25, 2025
  • Application Deadline: November 21, 2025
  • Announcement of Awards: March 2026
